Cécile Schulte

Pianist | Composer | Singer

Live piano as background music for events, intimate restaurant evenings, private gatherings, weddings and other special occasions in and around Amsterdam. My style blends classical roots with jazz and improvisation, creating warm and atmospheric music tailored to each setting.

For me, music isn’t only something internal; it’s also a way to connect people and make them feel. I truly enjoy it when my music opens a door within someone — a door to emotions that need to be felt, but that they might not have been able to open on their own. That’s how I began playing for an audience.

About Cécile

I’m Cécile, a German-Dutch pianist, singer, and composer based in Amsterdam. My music blends classical roots with cinematic sound, jazz influences, and improvisation—a style shaped by years of performing, songwriting, and exploring different instruments.

I perform at a variety of venues including the Rosewood Hotel, the Van Gogh Museum, the Tolhuistuin, Westerkerk, Vondelkerk and Posthoornkerk. Next to this, I am the resident pianist for the Offline Club and enjoy giving their beautiful events a special touch of connecting with oneself in silence.

My work is inspired by artists such as Alexis Ffrench, Elijah Fox, Stephan Moccio, Justin Kauflin, Dustin O’Halloran, Austin Farwell, SYML and many more. My work is about crafting soundscapes that connect deeply with listeners.

“Playing the piano feels like time stands still — it’s when I can be most myself, without using words. It’s both therapy and an outlet for my emotions. I love playing for hours, letting everything blend together, discovering new sounds and ideas as I go”.
